     Pedro Figari pintó todo, y este tema tampoco le fue especilamente querido. Lo retrata siempre con respeto, drama, pero como es su costumbre, también con humor. Velorios, cortejos, entierros.

     Pedro Figari painted everything, and this subject was particuary dear to him. He pictures it alwasy respectfully, dramatically, but, as is his habit, with sense of humour. Wakes, processions, burials.

     Pedro Figari a peint tout, et ce théme lui a été très cher. Il le registre toujours avec repect, drame, mais salon son habitude, avec hounour aussi. Veillées, cortèges, enterrements.

PEDRO FIGARI - ESCENAS ROSISTAS - ROSAS'S TIMES SCENES

     Éste es uno de los grandes temas con que Figari cruza el Rìo de la Plata, e incluye casi todos sus pinturas que tratan la historia argentina. Son evocaciones de una historia reciente, que no vivió, pero estaba muy presente en su juventud, y se prolonga en su estada en Buenos Aires.

     This is one of the most frequent subjects with which Figari crosses the river to Buenos Aires, and they include almost all of his paintings that deal with Argentine history. They are evocations of a recent history, that didn't reach his lifetime, but was very actual in his youth, and stretches to his stay in Buenos Aires.

     C'est un des grands sujets aved lesquels Figari traverse le Río de la Plata, er contient presque tous ses tableaux sur l'histoire argentine.
